Breakfasts

Breakfast is the most important meal for your body; think of all that gastric acid, making waves in your stomach if you don't put any thing in to feed on! Isn't that a good argument for breakfast on some level at least?

My own favourite is toasted spelt and hemp bread, with homemade jam, juice and coffee, then a good pint of hemp shake. This will set you up till lunchtime.

Whole hemp seed when ground with nuts produces great breakfast or snack spread, a healthy alternative to sugar high jams. Again, once you introduce the shelled hemp seed it takes it to different level with its totally smooth texture.

Dried fruits such as figs, apricots and prunes make a very healthy breakfast. Soak them over night, just cover with water infused with teaspoon of cinnamon and the juice/zest of an orange or lemon. Can be serve on their own or laced with Greek or natural yoghurt and honey.

The liquor from soaking dried fruit should always be kept and used in your sweet nut creams.
