The Shaman's Kitchen muesli blend
It is great fun to make you own muesli and especially fun for children's kitchen activities. Adding shelled hemp seed really makes a deluxe muesli.
Ingredients
(equivalent to small box of muesli)
- 100 grams oat bran
- 100 grams rolled oats
- 200 grams nuts; hazel, cashew, brazil or walnut
- 50-100 grams whole and/or shelled hemp seed
- 100 grams each; sunflower, and pumpkin seeds
- 250 grams mixed dried fruits; apricot, dates, papaya or mango ~ roughly chopped
- 100 grams of sultanas and/or raisins
- 50 grams coconut flakes
- 1 sealed container for storing
Method
- Depending on how fine you like the nuts in your muesli, grind or crush them accordingly.
- Combine with all the other ingredients in a bowl, mix thoroughly, and transfer to the container.
- You can add the hemp seed whole or ground.
- Try toasting some of the sunflower seeds and nuts for extra flavour as well. Experiment with your own favourite ingredients.
